With the second month of 2015 kicking off, it is the perfect time to look for fun, local events that people of all ages can enjoy together. Make sure to mark your calendar for these exciting Northern California events in the community that you can enjoy with all of your friends and family.

Tomorrow, February 7th, make sure to head out to the CERT Crab Feed in Walnut Creek. Join the members of the Walnut Creek CERT for a fun filled night of wonderful company, delicious food, and exciting silent auction items. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour, and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The CERT Crab Feed is a major fundraiser for the Walnut Creek CERT, with all proceeds going to help purchase emergency equipment and materials to allow CERTs to respond safely and quickly to the community in the event of a disaster.

The Danville-Alamo Area Community Harvest is going on February 28th from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. This free event allows you to pick fresh fruit that will be donated to hunger relief agencies throughout the Contra Costa County, including food pantries, soup kitchens, food banks, and shelters. All of the necessary equipment will be provided, including picking poles, buckets, clippers, ladders, crates, and gloves. Make sure to wear closed toed shoes and bring a snack and water while enjoying this community event.

The RCC’s Crab Feed Fundraiser is happening on February 28th at the Rainbow Community Center from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The event will feature all you can eat crab, salad, pasta, and dessert, as well as exciting auction prizes and raffle items. All proceeds help to benefit the Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County.
