Like football and apple pie, fries are classically American. Get ready for the big game, and forget about serving chips with dip at your Super Bowl party. Kick it up a notch with this homemade steak fries recipe. They’re delicious, easy to make and are sure to be a hit at your party. Here’s what you’ll need to get started.

Potato Ingredients:

1&1/2 pounds medium-size baking potatoes,

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons of Southwest seasoning

2 teaspoons hot sauce

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Southwest Seasoning Ingredients:

2 tablespoons chili powder

2 teaspoons ground cumin

2 tablespoons paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon dried oregano

Wash the potatoes and cut into 1/2-inch-thick strips. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. As you wait for the oven to heat, make your Southwest seasoning. In a small bowl combine all the spices together. Once you’re finished with the Southwest seasoning, it’s time to season your potatoes. Clean the potatoes one more time, dry them, and toss with the oil, Southwest seasoning, hot sauce, garlic salt, and garlic. Once seasoned, they’re ready for the oven.

Place them on a baking sheet and make sure to spread them out evenly. There shouldn’t be any overlapping potatoes. Put them in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until browned.

Take them out of the oven and garnish with either blue cheese or ranch dressing. For an extra kick you can also try drizzling hot wing sauce over the dish.

Serve and enjoy with friends and family!
